Factory source Poultry Feed Silo - BT-30 -Loose Farrowing Pen – Egebjerg Detail:
BT30
Our BT30 pen was modelled on the Norwegian solution for loose nursing sows. The result is a very flexible pen that can be used from birth to slaughter.
The large climate corner holds piglets until 25-30 kg. The pen is designed in such a way that you can see the piglets without entering the pen.
By applying the birth to slaughter system you avoid many transfers of the pigs, which means a lot less cleaning in comparison to traditional prodution.
At the same time, you save the pigs from stress, which gives a better daily gain and feed conversion. The pen is particularly well suited for special production of welfare pigs
