Well-designed Feed Trough - Stainless Steel Pan for Dry Automatic Feeder – Egebjerg Detail:
Troughs for the TUBE-O-MAT®
Since 1991 when Egebjerg launched the TUBE-O-MAT®, the automated feeder has undergone continued development, and the latest innovation is the new generation of troughs.
All troughs are provided with a two-level feeding platform. This provides a perfect transition from dry feed at the feed pipe to moist feed at the outer edge of the feeding platform. The feeding platform is delimited by an elevation sloping towards the water bowls.
The sloping elevation is formed by drawing the material upwards, and this design makes away with sharp edges and unhygienic corners. The elevation prevents excessive amounts of feed in the water bowls, which is a problem especially with weaners.
The water bowls are elevated at the centre to prevent the pigs from releasing the nipple with their legs.
